Aptandraceae is a family of flowering plants in the Santalales order. It consists of 16 species in 8 genera.
Description[]
They are small trees or shrubs. It is presumed that the Aptandraceae are root parasites due to molecular phylogenetics of the Santalales, but no positive evidence is given. The leaves are simple, alternate, sometimes with unicellular hairs on them. The inflorescences are borne in clusters or on fascicles, or panicles. The flowers can be bisexual or unisexual. Its fruits are drupes or nuts.
