Burrs of Acaena novae-zelandiae

A bur or burr is a seed or dry fruit that bear hooks or teeth which will attach themselves to animal fur or human clothing. These can be very irritating to get off of clothing, such as wool, cotton, or Velcro (which was inspired by burs).
