Karel Bořivoj Presl was a Bohemian botanist.
Presl lived all his life in Prague where he was professor of botany at the University of Prague. In 1817, he made an expedition to Sicily, and in 1820, he published Flora bohemica.
Him and his brother, Jan Svatopluk Presl were recognized by the Czech Botanical Society, and named the journal, Preslia in their honor.
When citing a botanical name, he is abbreviated as C.Presl.
