Chris Atkins is an American forester and wine seller possibly best known for his discovery of some of the tallest coast redwood trees.[1]
During August, 2006, Atkins, along with Michael Taylor, managed to discover the three tallest recorded trees in the world, Hyperion, Helios, and Icarus. Along with these trees, Atkins and Taylor have discovered several others, 28 of these being over 360 ft tall and 4 over 370 ft.[1]
