Article dispute[]
There are 4 contradictory websites that state different opinions about Carica jamaicensis.
- Wikimedia Commons: Believes that C. jamaicensis is a synonym of Carica papaya.
- IUCN Red List of Threatened Species: Believes that C. jamaicensis is its own species.
- Wikipedia: Believes that C. jamaicensis may be its own species, but clearly states in its Carica article that only one species exists in its genus.
- NPGS/GRIN: Doesn't even have C. jamaicensis on its list in Carica.
- Opinions
- On NPGS/GRIN, it says something about a Carica hybrid. Could this possibly be C. jamaicensis?
